Valentine’s Day 2027 falls on a Sunday, Feb. 14, the day before Presidents Day. Fairfax County Public Schools are closed Monday, Feb. 15, for Washington’s Birthday and Presidents Day, so many Reston families get a three-day weekend. One Valentine’s event is already on the calendar: a singles nature walk at Lake Fairfax Park. Restaurant menus usually follow in January, and this page will carry them as they are posted.

Valentine’s events
Valentine’s Day Nature Walk for Singles, Lake Fairfax Park, 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027. The Park Authority lists the walk at 1400 Lake Fairfax Drive at $9 a person. Registration was not open yet when we checked; it opens through the county’s Parktakes system.
Ice skating at Reston Town Center. The Ice Skating Pavilion on Market Street runs from Nov. 6, 2026, to March 14, 2027, weather permitting, so it is open over the Valentine’s weekend. Check the rink’s page for Sunday session times.
A movie at LOOK Cinemas. The dine-in cinema at 11940 Market St. is in the middle of the town center, a short walk from the rink and the restaurants on Market Street and Democracy Drive.
Valentine’s dinners
No Reston restaurant had posted a 2027 Valentine’s menu when we checked in October; that is normal, and most announce in January. When they do, we add them here with a link to the restaurant’s own announcement.
Until then, our date night in Reston guide lists the town center’s sit-down restaurants and wine bars, with addresses and official links. A few to know for a weekend dinner, from the Reston Town Center directory:

Last year
Valentine’s Day 2026 was a Saturday. Reston Town Center held its Skate N’ Glow night with a DJ and disco lights at the rink on Saturday, March 7, 2026, and the Lucky Leprechaun 5K on Sunday, March 15, its calendar shows; both are good markers for what the town center runs in late winter, and we will add the 2027 dates when they are posted.
